Making an Alien

Set Designer and Prop Maker

My final university project. Enter the shed of alien enthusiast Jones. Jones has been collecting what he believes to be alien body paraphernalia for years and has now gone missing. His gardening group believe that he was kidnapped by the alien he was researching.

This piece is eco-aware, with most parts made from reclaimed and recycled materials.

Last Ditch

Lighting and Visual Effects Designer

Last Ditch by David Ian Rabey follows the stories of several individuals, from corrupt politicians to left wing activists, as they are manipulated by four deities representing order, chaos, time and death. The performance was set to debut at the end of March 2020, however was cancelled due to the COVID 19 Pandemic.

Macbeth (concept design)

Lighting and Set Designer

This was a concept project for university. I wanted to design a modular based set, allowing different spaces to be created through the use of moving columns, with the performing being the main indication of the location, whilst the lighting and set would create tone and atmosphere.

The Tempest

Scenographic Team Member

Our university team were asked to create a response to Shakespeare's The Tempest. Our group opted to immerse our audience in the piece by seating them in the centre of the action, with the set designed to resemble a boat around them. My contributions included rigging the sail and projection mapping the characters faces to polystyrene busts.
